 John A. Duran, Jr. CEO/President
From 1994 until February of 1997, John served as Associate Vice President at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, where he analyzed, prepared and maintained personal and corporate investment/retirement accounts. While with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, John also was named National Sales Director winner, highlighting his excellent performance and key assertiveness. In 1997, John joined the ranks at First Security Van Kasper, where he served for several years as Vice President. While there, he not only brought his experience from previous positions to the table, John also assisted with product development into new and expanding markets.
In 1999, John was also involved in the operation of a Silicon Valley Internet incubation company that successfully spun-off the popular Web design and e-commerce company Digital Bridge, Inc., which now operating in Arizona. John took on the role of Director of Investor Relations at the time the company was a 30 million dollar market capitalization and ended up when John left at a 300 million dollar market capitalization. It was John's responsibility to maintain focus within the Investor Relations department, map out new business strategies for the company with other managers and apply his expertise and knowledge into the Public Relations department's projects as well, ensuring that all departments work together smoothly and successfully.
John formed Exit Strategy, LLC in 2002, a holding company from his many partnerships. Exit Strategy, LLC becomes a partner and holds an average of 10-40% of equity within each company. When these companies achieve liquidity events, Exit Strategy, LLC receives distributions that are then shared with its equity holders.
John received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Management from California State University, Fresno. He has attended additional courses at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania to better his skills and overall knowledge of the financial and investment communities.
John belongs to the San Francisco Bond Club and is an Alumnus of the Pi Kappa Fraternity and is an active member of the Alumni Association. In believing in strong community relations, John supports Mariposa High School and Mariposa Junior High School, to which he donated a computer lab room. He currently resides in San Francisco, California.
 William Wyland Managing Partner
Always a hard working and enterprising man, Bill Wyland worked at the advantages and many opportunities presented to him. He was born and raised in Madison Heights, Michigan. When he turned 18, he joined the Air Force and started as a fireman and became a professional skier and was in charge of the ski patrol for Europe. After the military, he was in charge of the Ski patrol at Echo Summit Ski Resort in South Lake, Tahoe. There he started his first real-estate marketing company, Westen Marketing, which was a marketing company that specialized in marketing of Time Share resorts in Lake Tahoe. For the next several years, his business expanded to several Time Share resorts throughout the United States, including Hawaii. Bill ended up in Hawaii on his honeymoon and founded the first Wyland Art gallery in 1988 in Haleiwa, Hawaii, located on the beautiful North Shore on the island of Oahu. This later expanded to all four major islands and quickly became the biggest Fine Art Gallery chain in all of Hawaii and one of the biggest in all the US. Today, there are over 40 family owned Wyland galleries and distributorships throughout the United States. Additionally, Bill considers himself an Angel investor who has invested money innumerous companies in the United States as well as Asia.
A travel enthusiast, Bill Wyland has visited over 180 countries. He says "I like to experience different cultures in person". In the last two years Bill has taken up playing Polo, stating, "This is interesting because as of a year ago I have not ridden a horse except the occasional trail ride". He enjoys taking activities to the extreme. He enjoys jet skiing big waves on the north shore and riding in polo games. Additionally, he enjoys diving, tennis, golf, surfing and hiking. Bill Wyland and others in his close family have achieved success and happiness in the beautiful island state we live in. Bill has 2 Children. His son Brian, 18, is a sponsored skate boarder in Hawaii sponsored by numerous companies such as Billabong and DC Shoe Company, USA. His daughter Stephanie,16, enjoys reading and writing. She has entered numerous contests for her excellent story writing. They do extensive traveling together and have visited many countries throughout the world.
